Manawatu Stockcar Champs This Saturday

The prestigious Machinery Specialists Manawatu Stockcar Championship will be decided on Saturday night at the Robertson Prestige International Speedway. Add in the Lucas Oil Saloon King of the Arena, Adult Ministocks, and what a spectacular Saturday night it’s going to be!

The carnage of the metal-crunching Stockcars will battle it out to take the prestigious title honours of the Machinery Specialists Manawatu Stockcar Championship. Defending champion 3nz Kyle Rowe will be looking to continue his impressive season including a current lead on the Travel Managers Seasons Points Chase. The podium placegetters from the recent Dittmer Collison Repairs Stockcar King of the Arena championship, 94p William Humphries, 88p Hunter deRidder and 62p Brock Gommans will also be drivers to watch in this championship! The Manawatu Stockcar Championship has a rich history of past champions which makes this a title that is always hotly contested.

The Palmerston North Pumas Stockcar team will be circulating a donation bucket around the pits and seating area for anyone who would like to support Taylor Lampp and his family during this incredibly tough time. The Pumas team will be making the rounds - so if you’re in a position to give, whether big or small, please keep an eye out for them.

Saloons return to the Central Energy Trust Arena in the form of Corvettes, Camaros and Mustangs racing wheel-to-wheel, with a packed field of drivers ready to put on a spectacular show for the inaugural crowning of the Lucas Oil Saloon King of the Arena. The Saloon class has seen some spectacular racing this season with drivers like 37p Paul Hosking, 57p Calvin Honore and 88p Jonathan Mason to keep a close eye on during this championship.
