Next Meeting: Stockcar King of the Arena

It’s going to be a huge Saturday night at the Robertson Prestige International Speedway when the most sought after Stockcar title in the Manawatu is decided - the Hammond Engineering Stockcar King of the Arena Championship. Local drivers are still at the forefront of the favourites to take the ultimate title and the massive $5,000 prizemoney - the largest prize pool on offer during the current season. With stirrers’ money and championship pride on the line, expect some of the hardest Stockcar racing to be seen this season.

Defending champion 992p Taylor Lampp is already a hot favourite with another highly successful season in the class, 172p Daniel Burmeister currently the season points chase leader has a high chance of the podium along with 35p Matt Phippen and 667p Hamish McLeod. The battle for this title will be supreme, all tactics will come into play and the best will come out on top!

The interest from out-of-town Stockcar drivers to compete will continue to add to the exciting event that is the Hammond Engineering Stockcar King of the Arena Championship title. The battle between different tracks will add another element of tactics the drivers will need to be aware of, including the entry of current Grand Prix winner and 2NZ Scott Tennant from Auckland. A hard-fought battle will be held to find the Top 30 Stockcars for the Championship.

Rounding out what is going to be a massive, metal-crunching Stockcar night, fast and furious Superstocks, combined Saloons/Super Saloons with their Corvettes, Camaros and Mustangs making their presence known with doorhandle to doorhandle racing, daredevil Sidecars and Adult Ministocks are in support of the Hammond Engineering Stockcar King of the Arena Championship.

Admission prices each night are $25 for an Adult (16 years and over), $10 for Children aged 8-15, and $60 for a Family pass of 2 adults and up to four children. Kids aged 7 and under are FREE.

Competitor Pit Gate - Gate 3 Cuba Street will open at 1:30pm.

Tickets can be purchased from our ticket booths on race days at Gate 1 (Waldegrave Street), Gate 2 (Cuba Street - Bridge) and Gate 3 (Cook Street) from 4pm- gate sales only. Racing starts at the earlier time of 5pm.
