North Island Saloons On Saturday 3rd

Speedway action continues this Saturday 3rd January from 5pm when the Lucas Oil North Island Saloon Championship is decided, along with exhilarating Superstocks, metal-crunching Stockcars and Adult Ministocks racing wheel-to-wheel around the Robertson Prestige International Speedway.

A quality field of over 30 drivers have entered the Lucas Oil North Island Saloon Championship for the 2025/26 season, in the form of Corvettes, Camaros and Mustangs racing wheel-to-wheel. The wide tyres and thundering V8 engines add another style of speedway racing which is proving popular not only with drivers but the spectators alike.

Saloon racing this season at the Robertson Prestige International Speedway has been ultra-competitive, with local drivers including 7p Clayton More, 57p Calvin Honore, 81p Jonathan Mason, and 242p Ashleigh King all looking to be in contention for the title. Visiting drivers include 2nzg Ethan Cook, hard chargers 4k Jarred Fletcher and 86s Bradley Korff, along with four drivers from the South Island making the trip north for the title - 12c Corey McQuillan, 57d Aaron Andrews, 66d Ryan Bennett and 492c Campbell McManaway.
