Robertson Prestige International Speedway would like to formally announce the funeral details for Peter Paltridge - Go Slideways.
A celebration of the life of Pete will be held on Wednesday 11th January at 11am, Arena 2 - Central Energy Trust Arena, Palmerston North. Entrance via Pascal Street, the service will be livestreamed for those who wish to view the celebration but are unable to be there in person - www.videohub.co.nz/Private-Stream.aspx
Pete was a passionate speedway follower and at the request of Pete and his family they would like to extend the invite to speedway competitors and motorcycle riders from Manfield to bring their cars or bikes along on Wednesday to assemble around the grass at the edge of the speedway track in a guard of honour for Pete. A request of the family is that all attending wear their speedway teamwear/staff shirts in honour of Pete. Following the celebration of life, competitors with vehicles or bikes in the guard of honour on the infield will be asked to return to their cars or bikes and ready themselves for the procession for Pete's lap of the infield.
We ask that competitors and motorcycle riders who wish to be a part of this guard of honour, enter the Central Energy Trust Arena via Gate 3 and follow instructions from the marshals on where to park your vehicles or bikes in the guard of honour. Gates will be open from 8am. Please arrive before 10am so we can adjourn to the celebration of life at 11am in Arena 2.
General car parking for the service will be on Pascal Street & Waldegrave Street.
