Speedway Practice This Week

The Robertson Prestige International Speedway has its official practices this coming Wednesday and Thursday night! This is a free event for the public - come along and check out the new cars with new designs, new drivers plus all your favourites! Gate 2 (Bridge) Gate 3 (Cook St) will open at 4:30pm both days.

Drivers You need to have a completed Greensheet/CVI to practice. NO COMPLETED GREENSHEET, NO PRACTICE, NO EXCEPTIONS. Entry to the pits is via Gate 3, Cuba Street from 2:30pm, scrutineering for practice will commence from 3:30pm, practice starts 5:30pm

Staff and volunteers - the only entrance available for practice nights is via Gate 3, Cuba Street. Waldegrave Street will be unable to be accessed due to other events at the venue.

Additional Green Sheeting

On Tuesday at the Speedway Shed from 5:30pm-7pm there will be an additional Green Sheeting/CVI opportunity for competitors who still need to have their CVI checks completed to be able to practice on Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th October.

Bookings are essential, please either email pnspeedway1@xtra.co.nz or contact 06 358 8838 or text Puk on 027 227 3101 to book a time. Please remember to bring your jack, wheel brace & axle stands, as well as helmets will also be required to check head clearances.

A reminder that no Green Sheeting/CVI will be completed until after the practice nights on 18th and 19th October if time permits.

Deepest Condolences

The Robertson Prestige International Speedway would like to extend its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Kerry McHugh. An unsung hero of the sport in Palmerston North, Kerry was part of our extremely dedicated lapscoring team for decades. Speedway doesn't exist without people like Kerry and his generational family of lapscorers, and we are incredibly grateful for the time he dedicated to our sport. Rest in Peace

Speedway's Back On October 21!

The days are getting longer and that can only mean one thing - speedway is back! The 2023/24 season at Robertson Prestige International Speedway thunders back into action Saturday 21st October at 6:30pm with a HUGE night of entertainment!

Superstock Masters Entries

Entries are now being accepted for the Superstock Masters Championship on November 25th at the Robertson Prestige International Speedway.

Open for current Superstock competitors over the age of 40. Retired drivers or drivers from another class in borrowed cars are not eligible to enter.

Calling Stockcar Teams Racers

Health & Safety Induction

A health and safety induction meeting for all staff and volunteers is being held on Thursday 12th October, 6pm in the J.A Russell Supplies Corporate Lounge. Gavin McLaughlin from NZ Health & Safety will be conducting this meeting, please advise pnspeedway1@xtra.co.nz if you are able to attend.

Congratulations Bryan Puklowski

Our track manager Bryan Puklowski was awarded the Jake Pulman Award of Excellence at the 2023 Speedway New Zealand Prizegiving last weekend! Bryan has dedicated his life to the sport we all love, and this national honour is well deserved. He is a very humble, quiet, hard working achiever, who is full of passion and dedication in all that he does and selfless in his approach.
