The third meeting of 2025/26 at the Robertson Prestige International Speedway was the Manawatu Standard Fireworks Spectacular. There was a huge crowd in attendance, and it was lovely to see so many families. When the lights went out, the Fireworks were definitely spectacular which was shown with appreciation from the crowd with lots of oohs, ahs and gasps. Truly a fabulous fireworks display from the Kairanga Lions.

There was sunshine all day with a light breeze, making a great setting for the Stockcar Dash for Cash. The anticipation and excitement around the Central Energy Trust Arena was obvious, even Stu Russell wanted to start the first race with a chequered flag. The meeting started bang on 6:30pm, with a promising 22 races to get through.
